Seller’s Comments

Coffee Shop of Choice: I love going to Tully’s, it’s close by and has free Wifi.

Favorite Restaurant in the Area: That’s a tough one – there are so many. I love going to Tutta Bella for pizza and Both Ways Cafe’ for their amazing breakfast.

Favorite Places to Go: Taking my dog the dog park just down the street is so convenient and a great way to start my weekend, followed by a quick trip to the farmer’s market.

Favorite Room: The downstairs family room – it’s open design creates a cozy and inviting space that I love to spend time in.

Best Features of the Home: The many modern touches that don’t clash with the home’s original architectural features as well as the HUGE backyard and living room with an amazing fireplace!

What’s in the Neighborhood: Parks, parks and more parks! The house is across the street from Genesee Park, only blocks from Lake Washington, and the dog park is just around the corner. Many of Seattle’s best restaurants are also within walking distance.

What I Will Miss the Most: The huge backyard for summer cookouts and being just across the street from Genesee Park.

Stew's right on. I live a few blocks away from this place, watched the place get whitewashed after it sold in April 07, and then immediately get listed (at $499K). It's been on the market all this time with no indication that anyone's been living there. I'd just noticed that the sign had changed to Redfin, and then lookie here.

As an actual resident of the neighborhood, I particularly enjoyed this: "Taking my dog the dog park just down the street is so convenient and a great way to start my weekend, followed by a quick trip to the farmer’s market." They must have the world's slowest dog...the Columbia City Farmer's Market is held on Wednesday afternoons.

Sigh... I don't want to be nitpicky, 'cause I do love Redfin and all, but I'm surprised by this post. For two reasons:

    1. An earlier listing by Redfin has this as being in Mt. Baker. I believe it was an advert on craigslist.

    2. This house is a total flip - and the new owners did an awesome job, but for all intents and purposes it seems they never lived in the house, so I'm not sure how they are going to miss the cookouts and such.

I mean no disrespect and I'm all for folks selling their home, but this seems a wee bit...inaccurate.

and yes, perhaps i've been looking for a house for entirely too long.
