Seller’s Comments

Coffee Shop of Choice: Starbucks – there is one off of the Burnham exit (only minutes away) and a drive through off of the Olympic exit.

Favorite Restaurants in the Area: Brix 25, it is great for special occasions. They serve complimentary champagne and the dinners are excellent, plus they have a fabulous wine selection. The Tanglewood Grill has a wide variety of burgers and great dinners for every day dining. Kelly’s is a great deli for lunch. Both the Tangelwood Grill and Kelly’s are family friendly. Lastly, The Tides is great place to eat lunch on Sunday – sit on the back porch, look across the bay and watch the sailboats go by.

Favorite Places to Go: Penrose Park to walk the dogs and picnic, Trillium Winery to talk with Claude and Claudia or go to the Wine Shop for free wine tastings on Fridays. Walk through downtown Gig Harbor, visit the shops and paint a bowl at Java and Clay Café.

Best Features of the Home: There is a cathedral ceiling in the sitting room – great light to sit quietly and read a book. The backyard is huge – a great place to play crochet, throw the Frisbee or play with the dogs OR sit and relax on the huge patio. The family room is cozy for watching movies – the lighting is great and reminds me of being in a movie theatre.

Favorite Room: The family room is where we spend most of our time. It’s where we relax from a long day at work, watch movies, surf the internet and just hang out.

Any Remodeling Since Last Sale Price: We did minor updates to two bathrooms.

Most Romantic Spot: I love our master bedroom. I painted one of the walls pomegranate red.

What’s in the Neighborhood: We live close to a small grocery store, Burger King and Hardware Store. We live on a cul-de-sac where all of the homes were built around the same time. It is very quiet, away from busy streets where the kids can skateboard and ride bikes. But not too far away, is great shopping and other community services. The YMCA and Costco just opened off of Burnham Drive. Also on Burnham Dr, the Franciscan Health System is building the St. Anthony Hospital, which is slated to open early 2009. Just two more exits from there off of Olympic Dr., a new shopping center is being built and includes Borders, Panera Bread Co. and Chico’s to name a few, plus a new state-of-the-art movie theatre to open in February. There will soon be no reason to commute to Tacoma for all of your shopping needs.

What I Will Miss the Most: I will miss the drive home from work. As soon as I cross the bridge at the Purdy Spit, the view is beautiful and I know I’m close to home and I leave work behind.
