More New Stuff for Redfin-atics
Hot off the press and just released today, Redfin has added two hot, new tools to get you real estate addicts more looks inside more homes!
Open Houses
If you’re wanting to tour homes, forget about rifling through newspaper adds and multiple websites to hunt them down. All open houses listed in the MLS or scheduled by Redfin sellers will be at your Redfin-gertips, right on the map, designated by the house or condo icon with the word “Open” written above it. Redfin sellers, if you want to post an open house tour for your neighborhood, you can now do it online, while buyers (or just plain old looky-loos) can plan your own personal open house tour by viewing them all on one convenient map!
Extended Listing Photos
Now available–extended listing photos and floor plans, like pictures 16-20 shown on this Redfin Yorba Linda, California listing (pictures 16-20). Floor plans may also point to the location in the house for each photo. I don’t know about you, but I just can’t get enough of these house photos, and the more there are, the more likely you will be able to get a feel for the home without having to visit it first!

The open house feature is really cool, but you guys aren’t *quite* there yet. Why not allow us to search for open houses? Your ‘Show Only’ field in the search drop-down should have an ‘open houses’ checkbox.

But kudos for having more pictures per property. The 15 picture limit is dumb. The next thing is convincing people to put higher resolution pictures up.

Consider it a small victory for now that open houses are displayed at all. Searching specifically for open houses and receiving email notifications for them is happening soon, probably before summer.
