Seller’s Comments

Coffee shop of choice: Take your pick: Cafe Ladro, Starbucks, Tully’s, Peet’s, and the Teacup, are all within 6 blocks.

Favorite restaurants in the area: Queen Anne Cafe for brunch, Thai Kitchen for takeout, Via Tribunali for dinner.

Favorite places to go: Rogers park or any of the other 3 nearby parks. Jogging around the Queen Anne “crown” (popular 3 mile jogging/walking route around the top of the hill). Strolling through the Sunday Fremont Market. Check out the Walk Score.

Best features of the home: 1) The location is really ideal. It’s a short walk to Queen Anne Ave, Fremont, and all the parks. We rarely drive anywhere on weekends. 2) The sunny kitchen with Mt. Baker views is where we spend most of our time cooking and eating. 3) Late evening private hot tubbing is also a treat.

Favorite room: The master bedroom opens onto a big deck that faces the Queen Anne greenbelt. The large windows and French doors make you feel like you’re in a mountain retreat. In the evening, the fireplace makes for a cozy spot to unwind with a book after a long day.

Any Remodeling?: The kitchen was completely redone with new appliances, custom cabinets with under-cabinet lighting, counters, pull-out shelves, skylight and a handy appliance lift for the electric mixer! The master bathroom was designed to feel like a calming spa, with a large tub, glassed-in shower, custom cabinets, beautiful river rock tile, new plumbing and fixtures. The 2nd bedroom also has a new bathroom.

Most romantic spot: In the house: bedroom with gas fireplace (that turns on automatically), or private hot tub. In the neighborhood: views of the city and Puget Sound from Kerry Park on Highland.

What’s in the neighborhood: Everything: groceries, drugstores, dentists, doctors, boutiques, salons, coffee, tea, restaurants, gyms, parks, schools… EVERYTHING!

What I will miss the most: We love Queen Anne so much that we’re not leaving the neighborhood – we’re planning to stay nearby. In the house, we will really miss weekend evenings where we start by grilling on the deck with friends while enjoying the view, then come inside to eat casually in the living room, and end the evening with a little dip in the hot tub.
