Coffee shop of choice: There are actually a couple in the area that we have liked to use. If we are driving and have kids in the car, then we’ll hit the local drive thru at the Starbucks. But, for those rare occasions we’ve ad to sit and relax in the shop, we like to go to Victor’s Celtic Coffee Co. which is nearby in downtown Redmond.
Favorite restaurants in the area: By far, our most commonly visited favorite restaurant is Typhoon, which is located in the Bella Botega shopping mall in Redmond, literally a 2 minute drive away. The Royal Duck Curry is delicious! But we’re also commonly seen eating at the Whole Foods in Redmond, the Purple Cafe for a date night, and Mulbak’s cafe for a relaxing lunch.
Favorite places to go: There are many parks that are close by, and we like to go to many of them. Some small with jungle gyms, and some larger with walking trails. Also, for a please and relaxing afternoon we’ll go to Mulbak’s for lunch and wander through the nursery to look at the flowers.
Best features of the home: We love the open floor plan in the kitchen and family room. It is absolutely great for just hanging out, either by ourselves or with friends over. It accommodates a group of friends really nicely. And we were loving the fact that the laundry room was upstairs with the bedroom. No lugging the clothes up and down the stairs! The huge master bath with its tub for relaxing was a very commonly used feature as well.
Favorite room: Kitchen and Family room. Its open, so the entire family can be hanging our together as we play, watch tv, cook dinner. And it is all hardwood and flows together.
Most romantic spot: The back patio – we have sunset dinners.
What’s in the neighborhood: There are 3 parks within short walking distance. Running trails and a PCC close by. Very friendly neighbors! And a Starbucks just a mile or so down the road in the same shopping area as the PCC.
What I will miss the most: Many things. Going to the parks. Being able to run to PCC for last minute dinners. We’ll definitely miss the favorite features of the house that we mentioned above. We are really hoping our next home will have many of the same qualities.
