Hey Rich,

You're right, my directions you quoted make no sense. That was the point of the post: Madison is the border between Captiol Hill and the CD. (Union, east of 12th where it intersects Madison is entirely in the CD.) As to your other statements: entirely wrong.

I'm not sure what information you're basing your neighborhood boundaries on, but here's a link to the Seattle Clerk's Office neighborhood map (http://clerk.ci.seattle.wa.us/public/nmaps/S/NN-1287S.htm).

AS you can see from the map, the intersection of 12th and Union is where Captiol Hill, First Hill and the CD meet.

The map shows that 1415 E Marion is in the CD. And technically, Piecoras is in the CD too--though right on the border. Sorry, I didn't make the map.

Of course, neighborhoods bleed into one another. And the NE edge of the CD may be more like Capitol Hill in flavor.

Still, I'm sticking with Madison as the border between Cap. Hill and the CD; and 12th as the border between First Hill and the CD. I have the maps on my side, afterall. (As well as the street sign at Madison and 13th proclaiming "Welcome to the Central District.")

If you can point to a map that supports any of your claims, please do.

Your directions, “Madison is the boundary between Capitol Hill and the CD, until you get to Union. Then it turns south on Union until 20th, where it winds back north to…" make no sense. The CD isn't anywhere near where Madison meets Union. That's Capital Hill vs. First Hill territory. And seriously, saying 1415 E Marion St is in the CD is like trying to annex Piecora's into the CD? That's preposterous.
