Many people will pay more for the same home to live in Bellevue for the "better" schools, while others choose to pays less in Renton and enjoy larger lots and bigger homes per $/sqft. Also, I LOVE the Renton/Newcastle divide. The hills and proximately to Lk Washington make the neighborhoods breathtaking on a sunny day. I think parts of Renton need some help, but it really has improved over the years. Renton has the multi billion dollar The Landing at the south end of the lake. Renton has the new indoor Seahawk practice facility. Old Downtown Renton is going through quite a few changes with new construction mixed use rentals, condos, commercial. Viva La Renton.
