The Best Seattle Real Estate Blogs
I’ve been doing some research on Seattle real estate blogs and thought I’d compile a list of my favorites:
Top Real Estate News Blogs
- Seattle PI Real Estate Blog written by PI journalist Aubrey Cohen will continue to be a great Seattle real estate news source as the print PI is laid to rest.
- Seattle Bubble is written by Tim Ellis and provides in-depth analysis of local market conditions and trends.
- Eastside Bubble keeps track of Eastside real estate news.
- Urbnlivn is a blog about Seattle condos with a focus on new developments written by fellow Redfinnian Matt Goyer.
- SeattleScape focuses on “design and urban development in the Emerald City.”
- Hugeasscity is all about “seductive congestion.”
- Smarter Neighbors is blog about Seattle land use planning and affordable housing.
Top Regional/Neighborhood Blogs
As a newbie in Seattle, it’s been fun to explore the neighborhood blogs written by local residents who create a great sense of community on the web.
- My Ballard is a community-powered neighborhood blog founded by the Geeky Swedes, who also maintain the local blogs Magnolia Voice, Queen Anne View, and Fremont Universe.
- CHS Capitol Hill is a “neighborhood blog for all the Hill” run by JSeattle on his Neighborlogs platform. Also, check out:
- Kirkland Weblog is a local blog with news and restaurant reviews in Kirkland.
- Beacon Hill blog has been serving the neighborhood for 10 years.
- West Seattle Blog is a great resource for West Seattle news, traffic alerts and crime watch.
- B-Town Blog covers Burien community news.
- The Rainier Valley Post is “all Southeast Seattle all the time.”
- Surrounded by Water is a Mercer Island blog with frequent posts on the neighborhood real estate news.
- Exit 133 is a Tacoma news blog with a focus on real estate and urban development.
Top Agent Blogs
- Seattle Real Estate Professionals is another PI blog written by a network of Seattle real estate agents.
- 360 Digest is a blog about real estate, popular culture, tech, news and opinion written by Marlow Harris.
- Rain City Guide is written by a network of Seattle area real estate agents.
- Blue Collar Agents is a “consumer-focused” real estate blog written by Redfin’s own Seattle agent Trevor Smith.
- Seattle Condo Review and The Seattle Condo Blog provide “news and reviews of Seattle condos, lofts and townhomes.”
- Downtown Bellevue Network keeps tabs on the Eastside real estate market and downtown Bellevue developments.
What have I missed? What blogs do you all follow to stay on top of the Seattle real estate market?

That’s a great list. It looks alot like my feed reader. I also try and keep in touch with the real estate page on King5’s http://www.citizenrain.com as it has all the most recent posts all in one place.
Sometimes my blog about Leavenworth http://www.iciclecreekrealestate.com makes a Seattle list, since we are so influenced by the Seattle market, but we’re two hours and a mountain range away so I don’t really expect to make most “best of Seattle” lists.

Beacon Hill certainly is part of Southeast Seattle.
The Beacon Hill Blog has only been up since October, though it is run by the same folks who run the Beacon Hill neighborhood discussion list, which did start in 1999.
(I know because I am one of them.)
