Mountain View Home: $869,000, 704 Square Feet But In-N-Out Across the Street
As much as I love In-N-Out, this Mountain View home off the Rengstorff exit struck me the same way when I first saw gas hit $3 a gallon. They’re asking $869,000 for a 2 bed, 1 bath house, with a paltry 704 square feet of space. That’s $1,236 per sq ft., folks. The listing description shouts, “WALK TO IN N OUT BURGER!” but I found six other properties within walking distance with lots more space and lower prices. $657 per sq ft. is the average for the neighborhood.
Five blocks down is a 3 bed, 2 bath Eichler with 1,152 sq ft. of space. It’s more stylish and has a nicer backyard. Am I missing something here?
