Fremont: The Mission District
I often go for walks in the neighborhood where I saw this house, at 42024 Benbow Dr.

From the outside it looked to be a good-sized ranch-style home. Attached to the garage is a carport added on in such a way that it looks like its part of the house, stucco and all. I would want to have someone look at the roof of the carport though because it looked a bit stressed to me.
Oddly the house seemed smaller inside than what I thought it would be. Inside it is very nice and comfortable looking and I especially liked the real wood floors (not Pergo). The living room is the first thing you see. Heading towards the back and off to the right is the kitchen. Now, for such a well-thought out dwelling this place appeared to be, I was puzzled by its small, dark kitchen. I definitely wouldn’t want to spend much time in it. The kitchen sink is in the very corner which is something I have never seen before – and hope to never see again. No windows in the kitchen. All 4 bedrooms are the same size with one of them having its own bathroom. I guess that means it is a likely candidate for being the master bedroom.
The backyard is rather small, but nicely landscaped; it is an oddly-shaped lot. What’s interesting though is that the Google map (see below) shows a big parcel of land near this house that is empty. Well it’s not empty – now there is an entire housing development with at least 12-15 homes on it. Big homes! This house is selling for $999,000 which makes me wonder what the new, big homes right next to it are going for.

ACRE A measure of land equaling 160 square rods; 4840 square yards; 43,560 square feet; or a tract about 208.71 feet square.
