The town has one of the most efficient and well-trained Public Safety departments in the nation – and every public safety office is cross-trained as both a police officer and fireman.

Sunnyvale boasts large, well lit streets, access to public transportation via light rail and a municipal bus system, and well established neighborhoods with larger homes and mature trees.

Sunnyvale is also home to AMD, Yahoo!, Sandisk, Maxim, and roughly 9,400 retailers, hotels and other businesses. With 13 city parks, it is a pleasant city to live in!

  • Yes because Sunnyvale is one of the few U.S. cities to have a single unified Department of Public Safety, where all personnel are trained as firefighters and police officers, so they can respond to emergencies in either capacity.
