Berkeley: Coming Soon On One Of City’s Finest Streets
A house for sale on Hillegass Avenue is always worth a look as it’s a particularly lovely street that runs north to south parallel to College Avenue with its good restaurants, coffee shops and stores. It also cuts through both Berkeley and Oakland.
The street’s mix of homes includes classic Craftsmen and traditionals. Although I am drawn to its distinctive look, I’m not sure how one would describe the style of this one, which is in Berkeley and is “coming soon” through agent Barry Pilger.

Tracy – drove by this house on hillegass and looks interesting. question for you – a while back you had reviewed a house on benvenue that was very large (6 beds I think) and ended up selling for about $1M (which I think is substantially less that what this house is listed for). You described that the Benvenue house was in a very studenty area close to campus. would you also characterize this house in the same way or do you think that this part of Hillegass is generally quieter?

Thanks for you comment. I have seen inside this home now and there’s a lot to like there. I would predict it will go for around $2m. It’s also on a good stretch of Hillegass, between Stuart and Russell, with largely single-family homes rather than student accommodation (not that I have anything against students of course!).
