The City of Milpitas
Milpitas is located just south of Fremont. There are some new residential areas in the works that you may want to check out. Plus the fact that the new Oakland A’s Stadium will be just north of the border of Milpitas and Fremont makes it a provocative investment choice.
One is a proposed residential project to construct high-density housing on the property located at 905 Los Coches St. (formerly Minton’s Lumber). Another proposed project is the Estrella Residential Project that will consist of construction of up to 369 podium and townhouse dwelling units, on-site surface and podium parking, recreational, open space facilities and landscaping.
But let’s talk about Milpitas itself for a moment. Milpitas is, to say the least, an unusual and unique city. The dirt mounds in the northern part of the city just west of 880 are actually piles of garbage covered with dirt. Maybe the visual aspect of this is more pleasing to the optical senses but the smell in summer lets you know that there is something afoul going on out there in them thar hills!
Just how unique in other aspects is Milpitas you ask? Well, if you have ever asked yourself “what is Giraffe Vandalism?” or “what happened to my Catalytic Converter while I wasn’t looking?” I would advise you take a little trip to the town of Milpitas.
