We’re Back and Ready to Rock!

As you know, we have been on a short hiatus, due to evil forces beyond our control. We have missed writing and reporting on Bay Area real estate for you but we are back, pens in hand, and eager to dig right in. We are still committed to democratizing real estate by arming buyers and sellers with up-to-date information about available homes, neighborhoods, and market trends. We will be writing regularly on past sales to give you an idea of what is selling, as well as for how much and how long they were on the market; properties with price reductions to help you find a good bargain; open house posts slanted each week in a different way so that you can hunt down properties that are brand new on the market, or fixer-uppers, or have 3 or more bedrooms; information on inventory, average costs, what is selling, what is not; lots of tips, DIY guides, neighborhood news, previews of coming listings, and much, much more.

We are here to help you navigate the labyrinth that is otherwise known as the real estate market. We would like to take some the pain out of the process by helping you find homes to see, avoid others that are not what you are looking for, provide resources if you are planning to sell your home, as well as help for those of you thinking of buying or that currently own that fixer-upper. We welcome your feedback, your questions, and hope you will let us know what else you might need from us.

We have mavens covering Sonoma County, Marin County, San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Belmont, San Carlos, Redwood City, Redwood Shores, Woodside, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Saratoga, San Jose, Newark, Union City, Milpitas and a few more points in between. Later this summer we hope to add a few more mavens and cover even more territory (including Contra Costa County)

We’ve got some great information and special posts to roll out during the next two weeks, in addition to our regular posts, so check in regularly to get the latest news…and welcome back to Bay Area Sweet Digs. We’ve missed ya.

  • I believe in the power of blogging, the flow of information and the like. I get the RSS feed as well as the email.

Not to take either side, I would like to know what the resulting compromise is.

    What you can say.
    What you can't say.
What is open and what is tabboo.

I guess I'll have to wait to read it, and see it, for myself.

Once again this is a highly polarized issue. It is what it is. I'm not committing to either side. But I do support the flow of information.

Previously we had a component of the blog that covered in-person property reviews. We have had to cease and desist this type of blog post. Taking this to heart, along with the results of our recent survey, we have shifted the focus slightly with more data-driven information to help consumers. We will continue daily editorial property reviews, and properties will be highlighted based on articles we do (such as 3 bedroom homes under $800,000 in Berkeley). In order to serve our readership better, we discontinued the blog for 2 weeks to ascertain how best to serve you and provide all our writers with new guidelines. We hope you will let us know if the new slant is helpful to you.

What happened that allowed you to start blogging again? Minor point missed...
