Dracula’s Castle For Sale

The medieval Bran Castle, perched on a cliff near Brasov in mountainous central Romania with ties to Prince Vlad the Impaler, the warlord whose cruelty inspired Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, “Dracula” is up for sale. The Habsburgs formally put the Bran Castle on the market Monday. No selling price was announced.

Okay, I just couldn’t resist this one, being the avid fan of horror stories that I am. I wonder if I could make a deal with the current owner to let me have the place if myself and say about 7 guests managed to spend one night in the place without going insane?

Of course the fact that some 450,000 people visit the castle every year would be a little off-setting to me. It’s all I can do to manage small family get-togethers. But then again – if I lived in Dracula’s castle how many in my family would want to visit? Nope, I’m staying in the Bay Area thankyou!
