SF: For Sale by Owner= Good for Buyer?

For sale by owner (FSBO) properties can be good alternatives for those on a budget since the owner will not have to part with a commission to an agent, so might be more amenable to negotiating the asking price or paying your closing or even buying down an interest point on your loan. Sometimes owners will finance your second mortgage. And if you use Redfin to help make sure you get the legal representation you need, you’ll save even more since Redfin operates with reduced commission fees as well. All in all, a win-win for you and the owner. With that in mind, here are some listings current on the market as FSBO. If the owner is a licensed agent, then the property is likely listed on the MLS, which means I cannot show you pictures of it, but I have included a link. However, if the property is not on the MLS, I am able to show you some pics, so I have included them where I can. Note the offerings are drawn from all over the city and represent different types of properties to be had in San Francisco.
