Bay Area Sweet Digs Is Growing to Meet Your Needs
Our goal, from Day One, has been to bring you great news, information, and commentary on Bay Area real estate. For months we have fine-tuned the look of our blog, the tone and tenor of our writing, and listened to what you had to say in our survey. All we want is to serve you better, and in the vein, we have hired 4 additional writers for Sweet Digs Bay Area. Starting September 1st, we will be
adding a writer/blogger in the following areas:
Oakland/Alameda County
Contra Costa County
Marin County
San Francisco
Help me in welcoming our newest bloggers:
Jenny Pisillo: Marin County
With the exception of her first 3 years of life in Hong Kong, Jenny is a native Californian, growing up in San Diego County before being lured away by richness and beauty of Northern California and the Bay Area. For more than a decade, she lived in the East Bay and Marin. After a recent four-year hiatus on the East Coast, she is back in her beloved Marin and looking to firmly plant her roots. In her free time, she can be found cycling the roads of Marin, always slowing down to peek at interesting homes and sipping tea at a neighborhood cafe. Her enormous wanderlust and passion for travel has placed her in 25 countries and all 50 states, but she always looks forward to returning to where her heart is—home.
Janis Mara: Contra Costa County
Janis lives in a 1924 Craftsman bungalow in the North and East neighborhood of Richmond just a few blocks from the Mercado Latino market, on a block where vendors ride bicycle ice cream carts in the summer and the street rings with mariachi music on El Cinco De Mayo. When she’s not online in her home of seven years, she’s often at kickboxing class or watching a Bruce Willis flick with no socially redeeming value.
Scott H.: San Francisco
Scott is the first male blogger for Sweet Digs Bay Area and will cover San Francisco along with existing blogger Anna Hibble. He is a commercial real estate lawyer currently living in the Marina District. Scott has been fruitlessly searching both the City by the Bay and Oakland for a house that is both within his price range and not completely horrible. When not scouring the local housing market, Scott enjoys scuba diving, hiking, and drinking home-brewed beer.
Alison Ching, Oakland/Alameda County
Increasing our East Bay staff, Alison will be joining blogger Tracey Taylor (Berkeley/Oakland). Alison has lived in the Bay Area since 1995 and has called San Francisco, Berkeley and Oakland home. Currently Alison resides in Oakland with her partner and two cats in a sweet little mint green bungalow circa 1913. She is enjoying first-time homeownership immensely and is committed to bringing Sweet Digs readers informative yet punchy prose on Oakland and Alameda real estate.
