Berkeley: Price Cuts To Warm A Buyer’s Heart

There are some intriguing price reductions to report today — a sign, no doubt, of an increasingly nervous market, but good news for buyers.

And some of these do not look like desperate sellers with second-rate properties on their hands. These seem like interesting listings that range across the price spectrum and should be worth exploring:

1126 Besito Avenue: Contemporary home (pictured above) with swimming pool, views and vacant lot available — down to $1,550,000 (note this is on the Oakland border so technically may not be Berkeley, although it is listed as such in the classifieds)

1849 Shattuck Avenue #301: 1/1 in a building with a “French bistro”at the corner — down to $399,000

2617 Parker Street: Julia Morgan designed 3-bed home in The Elmwood — down to $997,500

1532 Summit Road: 5/3 renovated 3,000 sq ft home near Tilden — down to $1,000,000

We also have “motivated sellers” (which may translate as willing to reduce price) at:

2632 Warring Street #10: 2/1 corner unit in the The Elmwood — at $485,000; and

2601 Derby Street: historic Maybeck designed home which has been reduced to $1,495,000
