Spotlight on the Harker School: San Jose
If you are looking for THE top private school in the Bay Area, and want your children accepted to an Ivy League institution – The Harker School is your institution. Located off Saratoga Avenue in San Jose, Harker offers a rigorous academic program for students from kindergarten through high school.
Over the past three years, the AP board has identified Harker as having some of the highest overall AP test scores in the nation. Last year, they were recognized as having the highest test scores in AP Psychology.
Three quarters of all Harker students score at the 85% percentile or better on the ERB tests. And there are 30 academic and social clubs to choose from for afterschool involvement.
The only down side is the price – one year of high school tuition will run around $30,000. Elementary school is roughly $20,000.
