Housing Bubble Babble

rumor Housing Bubble Babble

On the whole,I would caution about reading too many pessimistic reports on the current housing market. By encouraging gloomy talk we only exacerbate the problem.

However it’s never a bad thing to be up to speed with the zeitgeist. And the blogosphere is often where the sharpest views are being expressed (I would say that, wouldn’t I?).

So check out this selection of blogs reporting from the frontline of the Bay Area property market:

I completely agree with Brian. The only cure for this market is for prices to get back in line with incomes.

Interesting perspective. I suppose what I mean is that you can get yourself in a real slump if you immerse yourself in crisis reports and sob stories. Better for buyers to look at the advantages of a downturn -- such as reduced prices and desperate sellers.

I believe the sooner the market gets done correcting, the sooner we can get on with the business of buying. Lenders are not lending 100% any more, consumer confidence is at a low, and there is massive supply.

"Gloomy Talk" doesn't exacerbate the problem, it is part of the cure.
