Just for Fun: Cross-Blog Comparison
Every day I get my Daily Stats with the top listings for not only my area, but also the other Sweet Digs blogs. So I can see what is popular in Boston, Washington DC, Seattle and SoCal. I thought that today you might like to see what is popular in other parts of the U.S. I have listed them in order of price, with the higher-end homes first up:
SoCal: Somebody is doing some big shopping in this neck of the woods, as there were 2 top listings today, both in Irvine and both large homes/estates.
25 Grandview, Irvine: One-year-old 5/5.5, 5900 sf home on a third of an acre. Up in the hills on Turtle Ridge, this house rocks, with a huge wine closet, big rooms, great kitchen and lots more. (Check out the ehometour here.) Price: $4,495,000
3 Redbird, Irvine: Five-year-old 4240 sf Spanish-style villa with 4 bedrooms. 5 baths and guest casita. High-end quality throughout and a great patio with built-in firepit and BBQ for entertaining. FYI – this is a short sell on the market 566 days. Price: $3,395,000
San Francisco/Bay Area: 2810 Sunset, San Mateo
Rather ugly rancher/bungalow with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. In a nice neighborhood near the top of Hillsdale Blvd, approaching Hwy 92, this home has 1230 sf on a 7000 sf lot. This looks like a bank repo/short sell and needs landscaping work and some updating. Price: $808,000 ($657/sf)
Seattle: 3027 W. Ames Lake Drive NE, Redmond, WA
This 10-year-old home may not be a short sell, but the owners have already dropped the price $15k after 2 weeks on the market, with a need to sell due to a job transfer. With 4 bedrooms, 2.75 baths in 2400 sf, this property has three-quarters of an acre and access to the private lake. Price: $550,000 ($229/sf)
Washington, DC: 7922 Sea Breeze Drive, Orchard Beach, Maryland
Fourteen-year-old colonial with view of Stoney Creek. Bland 3/2.5 that needs some color and life, and maybe a few upgrades, Price: $289,900
Boston: 73 Broad Reach #T82C, Weymouth MA
This is a waterfront 1/1 with 620 sf ($322/sf). Great views, pool, tennis courts. Good description, terrible interior photos. Price: $199,900
