Grand View Drive: Is There Something They’re Not Telling Us?

The reason I ask is that there are no less than six homes for sale on this street up in the Berkeley/Oakland hills.

I realize it’s a fairly long street, but still… Has there been some grisly or scary revelation that only home dwellers there are privy to? Do people really dislike their neighbors that much? What precisely is going on?

Whatever it is, it doesn’t mean owners are rushing to offer their homes at bargain-basement prices. Three of the houses for sale are in the $2.5 million range. It does make open-house visiting easier though — so thanks guys.

Here they all are (do alert me of any juicy discoveries you make along the way if you decide to investigate them):

1871 Grand View Drive: 2-bed with loft/guest room and updated kitchen. Price: $899,000.

It (almost) goes without saying they all come with great views.
