Well, statistics don't lie, I guess. But after seeing hundreds of staged homes (so many that, after a while, we started to recognize the furniture), I can't tell you how refreshing it was to see a home that had been emptied out a little, but obviously still contained the owner's furniture. It definitely made us think more highly of that home than any other of the bland, pottery-barn cutouts we had seen before.

Yes, to the above introduction to staging. However, our company has moved to providing a "beyond staging" service to homeowners. We contract with homeowners to perform the preparation (painting (colors), landscaping, add or refinish floors, enhance kitchens and bathrooms,) activites and the presention activities (staging, photos, slideshow presentions to invite agents to the home, etc.) In addition, we recently we unfolded a "Green & Beautiful" design service that incorporates eco-friendly products like no VOC paints, sustainable floors, PV solar, eco-carpeting, and LED lighting to provide homeowners with another market advantage. In addition, we now offer an "Optional Furniture Purchase" program for condominiums and high-end homes in which the new owner can purchase the furnishing we utilized in the staging. For first-time, out-of-state or international buyers this makes buying a home even more turn-key. Yes, staging is very important but the evolution of staging will bring marketing advantage to sellers choosing to fully optimize their home sale.
