But after seeing hundreds of staged homes (so many that, after a while, we started to recognize the furniture), I can't tell you how refreshing it was to see a home that had been emptied out a little, but obviously still contained the owner's furniture. It definitely made us think more highly of that home than any other of the bland, pottery-barn cutouts we had seen before. Well, statistics don’t lie, I guess.
