Berkeley: Sellers Put Their Creative Hats On
I mentioned in my post yesterday the creativity in action among owners wanting to shift their homes. What better illustration than this home for sale at 1532 Summit Road in north Berkeley?
As the homeowner declares on the Craiglist ad for the property:
“Decorate or furnish your home on us. Buyer incentive options include $40k credit or price reduction. Additional options available for this huge, freshly painted Berkeley Hills home.”
The 5/4 contemporary home has been on the market for more than 100 days so clearly there is a need for a fresh approach. Even the price is an easy to remember round $1 million.
But who’s to say this isn’t a good idea? In these difficult times, letting your imagination run riot is to be heartily advised.
