The New “Hot” Area of the South Bay: Rivermark
Santa Clara is not only the proposed new home of the 49′ers, but also the home to a new, master planned community where residents have an average income of $110,573.
The formal Rivermark community was built on a 152 acre parcel that once was the West wing of Agnews Developmental Center, which closed in 1998.
The area referred to as Rivermark now extends beyond this 152 acre parcel – and refers to an area with many new single family homes, upscale townhomes, and apartment buildings. Rivermark is now considered the most desirable part of Santa Clara to live, and is extremely close to Cisco Systems and many of the valley’s other large employers.
