Price Drops in Hercules
It’s not exactly a Herculean task to find price reductions these days (groan) and some of these properties are really sweet. The first one is a nifty 2005 home that looks like it’s in mint condition, with lots of room. Hercules may seem like it’s a bit far out in CoCo County, but it’s along the Interstate 80 corridor, relatively accessible to San Francisco. (Photo of drops by aussiegall on flickr.)
2063 Lewis Street, Hercules: 3 bedrooms/2.5 baths, 1,680 sq ft, was $499,000, now $475,000. Check out the paint job – my favorite house color, gray! Really, no home should ever be painted any other color. Fireplace, too.
1203 Forest Run, Hercules: 2 bedrooms/1 bath, 779 sq ft, was $259,000, now $239,000. This little condo could be a good starting point for someone hoping to get a foot in that ol’ housing market door. There’s a fireplace and, mirabel Dictu, a stackable washer/dryer.
151 Manzanita Place, Hercules: 4 bedrooms/1 bath, 1,673 sq ft, was $525,900, now $499,950. If you’re wondering why a house this size is going for such a low price, this is a fixer-upper. The house is wheelchair-accessible, the kitchen counters have granit slab counters and there’s a patio with bay views.
2012 Clark Street, Hercules: 3 bedrooms/2.5 baths, 1,700 sq ft, was $549,000, now $469,900. Built in 2005 in the manner of what some call the “stick Victorian,” with a flat bay window and an enclosed front door, this property also has an enclosed 2-car garage.
