Twin Peaks Treasure?

treasure Twin Peaks Treasure?A recent Daily Stat board revealed what looks to be a little gem in the Clarendon Heights neighborhood on Twin Peaks. On the market just a week, 90 Crown Terrace is a three bedroom, two bath home of 1,740 square feet. Three stories, with a whopping view of the city and Bay Bridge, this home has only seen one owner in 58 years. This is not only a trustee sale, but is also listed as a fixer-upper. Actually a pretty high-priced fixer-upper at $1,375,000 ($790/sf). According to the listing, the lot has frontage on two different streets, both Crown Terrace and Raccoon, but little else is known. Only one picture is available of the living room, but from what little I see, it looks to be a good example of mid-century modern architecture, which I love. The home has primarily hardwood flooring, with some linoleum floors, very typical of a house this age. In addition to the 3 bedrooms you get a living room, formal dining room, kitchen and sunroom. Oh, and a garage, as well as side-by-side parking. The lot is sub-standard for the burbs at about 2600 sf, but not so much for the city.

Currently there are few homes in this neighborhood for sale, and none of this size. Within the last 3 months, there have been quite a few sales in the area, but only one real comp that I could find: 224 Twin Peaks Blvd, an older home on a busier street and one less bath sold for $1,360,000 ($882/sf).

If you think you’d like to own the key to this treasure and are interested in seeing this home, you can attend the open house scheduled for this Sunday from 2-5 pm.
