Evergreen Goes Green

Today’s Daily Stat leader is in the San Jose suburban development of Evergreen. The home, located at 3032 Vin Grande Court is a majestic looking three-story contemporary style home that is completely solar powered. I would imagine that you would be saving in the neighborhood of $200-400 per month, given heating and AC usage for a home this size. That would allow for a larger monthly mortgage payment—or maybe a new car payment? The home, only 11 years old, sits among like-style homes, and has numerous upgrades, like Brazilian cherrywood floors, marble, and some fancy schmancy chandelier costing $5000 (according to the agent). Modern and clean with spacious rooms, this is a nice home. It originally sold for $407,000 when it was built in 1997, and again in April of 06 for $1,045,000. Just listed 19 days ago for $1,049,950, it was reduced 5% last Friday to $998,000, and is well within the range of other listings in the area, as well as recent sales. Think of it as the house that keeps on giving….
