Mid-Peninsula Open Houses: February 9/10
Open House season is starting to ramp up, now that the holidays and Super Bowl have danced their last dance. I found almost 40 open houses being held in Redwood City this weekend, and I am sure that is not the whole picture. San Carlos and Belmont are only showing 9 each, which seems low, but I am sure that will change as Spring approaches.
Today will focus on the $800,000 to $1,000,000 range in the tri-city area.
Redwood City

443 Birch St, 3/2 $ 989,000 Sat/Sun 1:30-4:30 Charming, albeit hideously painted, Craftsman near Sequoia High School Definitely overpriced.

1125 Walnut St, 2/1 $ 849,000 Sat/Sun 1:30-4:30 Long on market (184 days) with no price reduction.
1009 Walnut St, 2/1 $ 859,000 Sat 1-4 Sun 1:30-4:30 On the market a month, this house is far more charming than the above listing. Drawback is the # of bedrooms, as many families move here for the schools, and typically have more than one child. Good starter home, if you can start that high.
