Peer into the Best Kitchens of Tiburon and Belvedere

Wow – February got here quick.  We are already in our 2nd day of February and just around the corner is the annual Belvedere-Hawthorne Nursery Schools Valentine Kitchen Tour.  In it’s 30th year as a prime fundraiser for the nursery schools, last year’s event drew 1200 folks.  Those 1200 people must either take the day off or don’t have a day job like the rest of us (i.e. me), as the event is held smack in the middle of the week.  This year’s tour is happening this Tuesday, Feb 5th from 9:30 – 2:00pm.  (Maybe this event is geared towards the Marin yummy mummy crowd while their kids are in school.)

Forty dollars in advance (or $45 day of) gets you transportation that departs from the San Francisco Yacht Club to tour the six homes that will be sure to dazzle you with the latest design and kitchen gadgetry.  After all – this is Tiburon and Belvedere – the two most exclusive enclaves of Marin.  Interestingly enough – no cameras are allowed.  So bring a photographic memory to make note of things you liked.  In addition to getting the opportunity to gawk at amazing, state of the art kitchens, there will be chefs, authors and gourmet treats.  So if you can swing the time away, spend the day admiring some what I’m sure will be some fabulous kitchens… and send me a report.  Best of all – this all supports a great cause.
