San Mateo Inventory Spotlight

strad San Mateo Inventory SpotlightThought I’d check in on the real estate picture in San Mateo this week. As of today, there were 260 listings. Of those, 143 were single-family homes, and 188 were condos/townhouses. The price range started with the low-end of $204,950 with a studio apartment in an active-adult community downtown (324 Catalpa #218) and went up to a $4,980,000 4/4, 5220 sf penthouse located in the Stradbally Court building (222 6th Ave).

Of the 260 listings, 145 have 3 or more bedrooms and almost 200 were over 1000 square feet in size. As for property lingering on the market, 60 of the listings were in the last 30 days, 46 were over 90 days, and the majority (154) were in the 31-89 DOM range.

Today’s San Mateo Neighborhood Spotlight goes to North Shoreview/Dore-Cavanaugh Neighborhood, which is bordered by Highway 101 to the west, J Hart Clinton Drive to the south, the Bay to the east, and Dore Avenue to the north. This is a more affordable neighborhood, due to location and age of homes. Current prices are running from $559,000 to $750,000, with the majority of homes consisting of 2 and 3 bedrooms. Here are the 9 properties currently available:
