Most Popular Silicon Valley Homes on Redfin

Today’s “most-clicked-on” Redfin listings include quite a few in the Silicon Valley that are worthy of note. 

First on the list (and only behind a few in Vallejo and other outlying areas) is 3107 Cedarcrest Lane in San Jose.  This four bedroom, 2 1/2 bath townhome has 1452 square feet of living space, is in the desirable Berryesa area, and is offered at the low price of $390,000.  The listing says that it “needs TLC”, but doesn’t specify how much or what kind of TLC is required.  It does have a 2 car garage, a community pool, and a putting green, and the homeowner’s association fees are $270/month.  

If you are in the mood for some repair work and are looking for a bargain, this could bear investigating. 

The next interesting listing is 1640 Graham Lane in Santa Clara. A single family home with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 1597 square feet, the photos show it to be immaculate and well-presented.  It has a completely remodeled kitchen, a hot tub pad, a neatly manicured back yard with a patio, and a family room wired for surround sound.  Offered at $774,888, it is not as much of a bargain, but appears to be very well kept and offers a great commute location – as it is right next to San Tomas Expressway.

One potential drawback is that it IS right next to San Tomas Expressway – although it has dual paned windows to help cut back on the traffic noise. 

The third interesting property is a small 3/2 rancher located on 166 Bonny Street in Mountain View - offered at $730,000.  It is rare to find a single family home in this town for under $900,000!  This one looks like a contractor’s special, it was increased to 1,300 square feet without permits.  A wise buyer would call the city building department and see what it would take to make it “legal”.  It is in the Shoreline area of Mountain View, which would make concert-going very convenient.  It is 58 years old, but the owners have upgraded to newer dual paned windows, and added an additional bathroom to one of the bedrooms. 

The exterior is stucco, but it has an older tar-and-gravel type roof.  The sellers never moved in after their remodeling efforts.
