Oakland New On Market: From Stunning Contemporary to SFR Converts

6353 skyline Oakland New On Market: From Stunning Contemporary to SFR ConvertsAh….spring. The flowering trees are in bloom, my students are sporting roses cut from their backyards and it’s getting to be loquat season in East Oakland. As we swing into full-on spring, Oakland is seeing a flood of new listings come on the market. And while many dilapidated foreclosures have been grabbing a lot of attention these days, there are plenty of beautiful homes coming on as well. This contemporary built in 2001 caught my eye: 6353 Skyline Blvd. is a 4bd/3ba 4046 SF home high up in the Oakland Hills (pictured right). It’s got the breathtaking views, lots of light and cool architecture. Some new listings on the block in Adams Point and Crocker Highlands, particularly  313 Warwick Ave. a 1908 Stucco Craftsman, stand out as well. Finally, there are SFRs that have been made into duplexes. The two I’ve listed here, one near Lake Merritt the other in the San Antonio neigborhood, look nice on the outside but it will take going to see them in person to know what’s in store on the inside.

6353 Skyline Blvd. $1,849,000 4/3 Oakland Hills/Montclair

1088 Clarendon Crescent $995,000 3/3 Crocker Highlands

 313 Warwick Ave. $799,000 3/2.5 Adams Point

1837 E 15th St. $529,000 7/3 SFR-turned-duplex with 2/1 cottage in back San Antonio neighborhood

181 Montecito $515,000 Lake Merritt Duplex; described as ”easy” convert back to SFR
