It’s fair to say that in these straitened times there will always be a good number of homes to choose from with price cuts. (Although that’s not me advising you to wait for the house you’ve fallen in love with to be reduced. That would be foolish as, even now, good houses sells fast.)

Here’s my pick of the bunch for the week:

2800 Fulton Street (pictured above) is a duplex in what was presumably a turn-of-the-century single-family house (another one) , a block from Le Conte School in central Berkeley. Its price has seen a reduction from $1,150,000 to $1,095,000 after 54 days on Redfin.7th duplex Berkeley and Oakland Price Reductions: A Permanent Fixture

2210-2212 7th Street (pictured right), also in central Berkeley, is a side-by-side remodeled duplex with 2/1 each. It comes with large lot and has seen its price cut to $679,000 from $649,000.

3334 King Street is a 2-bedroom upper duplex with deck and yard. Price down to $399,000.

6305 Melville Drive, a 3/2 updated contemporary with Bay views in Piedmont Pines, has had a $50,000 price cut to $749,000.

Lastly, 6245 Brookside in upper Rockridge is a 4+/3 contemporary which started life on the market at $1,030,000 and is now, after 118 long days on Redfin, priced at $999,000.
