Mansion Monday: Old World Eclectic
Today, we move out of Santa Clara County into San Mateo County, starting with the southernmost city, Atherton, and a very grand manor. Located between Menlo Atherton High School (on Middlefield) and Highway 101 in the Lindenwood neighborhood, and tucked into 2.25 acres is a masterpiece of a different age. Built in 1908, today’s mansion is a Beau Arts masterpiece, no doubt complete with a grand entrance and wide staircase. This home is truly a masterpiece, an original that has been meticulously cared for and restored, keeping the original style of the home but bringing it into modern times. I have to say that it is times like these where I resent not being able to bring you the listing pictures (due to MLS restrictions). This really is a fine home, something worth gawking at.
