Learn About the ABC’s of Home Building

The City of Redwood City will be offering a class in the “ABC’s of Homebuilding + Green Building” on Saturday, September 27th at the Green Building Exchange in Redwood City. The five-hour class is being taught by Julia Harkola, who holds a Ph.D. from Stanford in Construction Management. She also is a registered civil engineer, general contractor, and certified green building professional. On the program with Julia is David Hirzel, also a certified green building professional. Topics will include:

• Evaluating your property
• Designing and budgeting your project
• Selecting and managing your designer and general contractor
• General understanding of the process

You should come away from the seminar with an action plan for your project.

BONUS: The class includes a one-hour individual consultation at your home.
