Marinites Still Think There’s More to Drop
What the market is doing, how it’s behaving relative to last year, last month and to other locales – we rely on research reports, hard data, statistics and experts who breathe this stuff day and night. It’s not a bad thing, since the information is trustworthy and has data and support to back it up.
Besides relying on experts, we get also get a lot of flavor for what is happening by chatting it up with friends and neighbors – the local residents and homeowners who probably have a good pulse on the climate out there.
So, what are Marinites thinking? According to a recent poll on the MarinIJ, there’s more room to go. Out of 261 responses, over 80% responded that they don’t believe that Marin home prices have bottomed out. That’s a huge majority. The climate looks pessimistic amongst the respondents. For potential home buyers like myself, that seems to be good news. While it’s good to continue to sit still and wait, it that one special home comes along, I wouldn’t keep waiting for it to drop more. It may drop more, but how much more are you willing to wait to see the house of your dreams past you by?
