SF: Birth & Baby Fair This Weekend

mother and baby SF: Birth & Baby Fair This WeekendFor all of you expectant homewowners and home buyers, this weekend brings you the Birth and Baby Fair out at the Fort Mason Conference Center. Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to browse the booths, learn more about and meet doulas, midwives, massage therapists, childbirth educators, and more. There will be product demonstrations, maternity and baby clothes for sale. And, you can take of the following free workshops:

  • Birth Options and Alternatives
  • Make Your Own Homemade Organic Baby Food
  • Baby Sign Language
  • Sleep Techniques

Fort Mason is on the edge of the desirable Marina District. Currently there are 18 homes for sales in this area, ranging in price from $519,000 to $5,400,000. Nine of the listings are condos/townhouses, priced from $519,000 to $1,329,000. Single family homes range from $1,099,000 to $5,400,000. A whopping 12 of these homes will be open this weekend and available for walk through. Most will only be open on Sunday, but there are two units available to see on Saturday:

    Ah,ya picked the wrong person to ask about that - cuz that's a topic I know a bit about. There are out of hospital births, home births, water births, births with drugs and without drugs, with a dr or a midwife, with a doula or without. But, I get your point - the terminology makes it sound very odd.
