Luv to hear about Mt Vernon Square–and have been watching to get in on the more realistic prices at the Whitman (910 M St) There is one unit that I like because it is a one-bedroom but has the den (it is small–but has a window!) I can use for my desk and office work. It also has a 1/2 bath for when my guests come over! If I remembber it is unit 803 or 903. The owner bought it for around 500k a year and a half ago—now its on the market for 449000–only 10k more than much more limited units on lower levels. Thnking about making an offer—–i will let you know–But does anyone else have any comments about the Whitman?

As I mentioned above, I have heard things about Mt. Vernon Square that lead me to believe it’s a bit dicey. BUT I am definitely not an expert on that area, and I could be completely wrong about that. Yes, the prices caught my attention, too. It’s surprising because of its proximity to some major attrations. However, I think there is a good reason for that, since I’ve read some things that indicate to me the area might be a little dicey.
